I would talk to Bill at Watkins Professional AND affordable speaker repair and refoam by Watkins Engineering

He is the ONLY guy i know of that has a way to electrically center the voice coil in the gap. all other speaker repair shops cut the center cap off and use shims. well with Dyna's you can do that! the cone is all one piece and the dome in the middle give the cone some of it's strength!

You will have to get your own foam kits. I recommend Orange county speaker's kits. supposedly they import these from Germany and are made to the exact specs...maybe that's real or maybe its hype but the kits are good. i just ordered 2 pairs. they are $50pr and bill charges $117 a pair including shipping to do the refoam work. if you want your dyna's done right. this is the way to go. it is the exact same thing i am doing for my Duntechs right now!

The first Dynaudio 21W54 was fitted with a treated paper cone, the second version used the one piece polypropylene cone.If the models needing new surrounds are the early model then the pigtail leads will also require replacement. This is a more specialised job as it requires the removal of the centre dome/s and aluminium soldering.
