Default Blown tweeter B&W DM2000/3000

I have a blown tweeter (it buzzes) on one of my B&W DM2000. It's a soft dome tweeter and these speakers were manufactured in the late 1980's.

The actual tweeter is of course unavailable from B&W (I checked).

Would someone be able to recommend a replacement tweeter?
thanks in advance
carlos

The work of comparing a tweeter, when we don't know substitutes (I don't know in this case besides the standard 4/6/8 Ohm speakers drivers), and don't know their specs/brand/model/manufacturer, is only possible after measuring.

This is from another poster at www.htguide.com

I picked up a pair of second hand DM2000's about 8-9 years ago. One of the drivers had stopped working and the previous owner didnt want to deal with it. I removed it and took it to my B&W dealer. They sent it to B&W (Buffalo NY?) and I had it back in about 4-6 weeks. They repaired it for about $50.00.
They still work great. Good luck on your mission.
Did you try repairing?

I had the DM2000 for a few months in the 80's and developed a buzz at certain frequencies. It turned out to be the dustcap on the midwoofer not glued all the way around to the cone so would flap against the cone to cause the buzz. Run a sweep tone to see if that's the problem.

You could always try and get the tweeter repaired. Try contacting various B&W distributors in other countries. It's surprising what they have laying on the shelves gathering dust.

You could always try Madisound as they have experience with replacements on various speakers.
