Hi guys. im attempting to put together a new cab for my PA. i have a pair of 10inch drivers that came with my (cheap) mixing gear. im thinking i should just put them into a basic sealed 20L cab for basic all round performance, but if someone can id them so i can find the T/s params, then they can go into a reflex cab, or even a midbass/kickbin style horn. i have just aquired a massive panel of MDF so got plenty to play with.
anyway, heres pics. theyre 10 inch as i said, and they came out of a DJTECH branded unit. (so probably cheap chinese crap... ) excuse the crappy paint... lol ![]() ![]() and on the sticker: rw0250r120b8k31-11 [rohs] i hope you can help me |

well just puttng them into a cabinet of whatever size will probably not help.
but you do have a computer, and probably can get a cheap multimeter, a -whatever you find ohm- 5w resistor, and more than likely you have an amplifier. so basicly not mutch stops you from mesuring the driver's specs, then it will be irrelevant what make they are. Measuring Loudspeaker Driver Parameters realy does not takes that long, and would be more of a use than a datasheet. As those values might be quite inaccurate in cases. After those mesurements if you do post the specs along with the graph, can something be worked out of it. otherwise.. it will be plain luck. |

cool, thanks heaps for that, even if i didnt have a 5w resistor somewhere theyre cheap enough to buy one... and yea, i can borrow a multimeter from work.
seems like quite the intelligent way about it really... :P |

cool, bookmarked^^ =D
i use fruityloops as well, so already have a sinewave generator does it have to be a 5w resistor? or was that just chosen for its power handling ability? |
