Default Considering Bipole for my 3-way build.

I am building a front set of 3-way's with HiFi RTI tweeters, Dayton Dome midranges, and Exodus Anarchy's. I was considering a mtmww, but the baffle height is more than I'd prefer. I was wondering if anyone had more information on bipole design. I have done the usual google and not found a lot of information. I am aware of Peter O'Toole's comments about the design, but I'm wondering if the design is one worth pursuing a prototype on. The speakers will be fully active using a chip amp and active crossover.
