I am trying to rebuild a stereo console from the 1950's. The crossover network looks strange to me, but I'm far from an expert. Given this schematic,
how would you hook up a woofer and tweeter to the amp and drivers? |

Is this the crossover for a speaker system that has been previously removed? If so, I'd find the capability of the amp and find a speaker that will suit it and connect it directly with its own crossover.
If you're trying to use this crossover, I'm thinking of a more likely way it should be connected but first, can you confirm which of these connections run from the amp? By the way, from your description, could this be one of those projects best suited to an 8" full range for some faux authenticity? |

As best as I can make out from papers inside the console, amp output to A & C. 12" sub between A & C and 10 " horn Tweeter between B & C.
Thanks Allen for the reply |

That's OK Bruce. It seems the woofer is being run full range. May be OK but could be improved. The tweeter has the low frequencies excluded by the capacitor and inductor. The lower left resistor would reduce it's level. The upper resistor serves no immediately obvious role but may be there to protect the amp in case of a blown woofer or may be there to adjust loading.
