I posted a thread on the Parts-Express TechTalk forum about building speaker cabinets using some IKEA Akurum kitchen cabinet frames. These can be used to make cabs with interal volumes from 50 liters to over 175 liters without too many sophisticated tools and that look nice.
For someone like me, who doesn't have a woodshop but has a few tools, this is great and I only need to get to my local IKEA for materials. I can build cabinets that are re-uasable, too! Here's the link: Tutorial Thread on the PE forum Here is a pic of some cabs that are mostly done, except the front baffles: ![]() -Charlie |

Nice job! Every time I go to IKEA I look through the as-is section for cheap building materials (baffles, stuffing, stands, etc.), but SWMBO won't allow me to collect any more junk....
