Question Desktop Speaker drives ?

I know this sounds a totally noob question, but I知 trying to work out what size drives and what type to use in a active desktop system. I知 looking at intergrading the speakers with the miniDSP amp (20w) , I don稚 really want them the size of book shelf types, but I do want some good quality sound. Maybe I知 asking to much? How fast does the sound quality drop under a certain size of drives? And what would anyone recommend. Would full range be better than separates ?

Maybe something like these would be the right size:

You could easily leave the crossover out and go active if you wanted to.

You should be able to get the HiVi drivers in the UK, as used in Overnight Sensation Kit /Pr

IPL ACOUSTICS HIGH QUALITY SPEAKER KITS (don't have them listed, but they might be able to get them for you anyway)
Purchase (list of official dealers)
