Hi everyone,
I currently own a system based on a SE 6L6 amp with fe127e dbr speakers. I find it a bit agressive and bass are not enough precise. Should I buy a subwoofer or start from scratch ? Personally I think I should start from scratch building a 2 way system. What I am looking for is a pair of bookshelves under 500$ dollars. I mostly listen to rock, violin, piano but I also enjoy voices. What do you think ? Simon |

It depends how much effort you want to go to. If you do add a woofer you will be helping the Fostex as well as your bass. Are you using any filters with the fostex?

Hi AllenB,
Yes I use a RLC filter to attenuate the high frequencies. I see what you mean, with a subwoofer, it could do the job ? Simon. |

Right... Thank you then.
What should I do ? Ask for moving the thread in the sub forums or do a new one there ? Thanks again. |
