Im looking to build speakers.
Each drive in a separate cabinet using active xovers. I want some of the highest end drivers available. I want these to be time/phase coherent so the separate cabinets/active xover will allow this if set up correctly. Looking to build 3 ways. (POSSIBLY 4) -I'm looking at the ScanSpeak Revelator/Illuminator 6600,6620, 7000 or the Be tweeter (6640) Which do you suggest? and why? Is beryllium worth the huge increase in price? -TC Sounds LMS5400 18inch subs. -Im REALLY unsure what to use for the mid. The ScanSpeak 18W8531G looks very accurate but how would it be for a mid and bass? I feel like i could be missing something dumping such a huge frequency band on the ScanSpeak 18W8531G. But according to the measured freq response on zaph audio it looks upto the task. Suggestions? Comments? I really need some input. I'm pretty set on the LMS5400 regardless.
