I remember the good sonic quality of the speaker models mentioned here from early exhibitions and consumer shows.
I am looking to the B&W loudspeaker model, that is similar to the mentioned types especially to the outline of the "TSX9" from Pioneer. It was on the market between 1980 and 1990. Who knows the model number? And a second question: Where on the web is to find a test review and a frequency response of the BM100 from Monitor Audio. Thank you very much. Here some images of the other above mentioned models. Last edited by tiefbassuebertr; 6th August 2011 at 06:23 PM. |

thank you very much. About
Bowers and Wilkins manuals, schematics and brochures - Hifi Manuals is to read, that there are various different versions of the LM1. Thus the version I am looking for is very hard to find on the web. |

Are the pics I posted of the one you were seeking?
If so, would you like me to scan the rest of the brochure? It has frequency response graphs and the specifications. I have some even rarer B&W speakers. In the 80/90s B&W made car audio components called the MASS range. I have the sub woofers and midranges and crossovers from this range. I used the midranges and crossovers to make these, which I am happy to say sound better than the LM1s I have: ![]() There's some old manuals and stuff here: B&W Group North America Service & Support Homepage |

LM-1 old:
Thanks again for this additional informations. Unfortunately I haven't the complete broshure from B&W LM-1 old , but the schematic and some more pics. The "MK-III" (MK-3 MK3) pics I have found from japanese websites (using by image view search inside Google.co.jp). here thw URL: http://www.happy-town.jp/DUCK-TAIL/s...odsID=00000581 This means, there are three versions on the marked from this cabinet outline of the LM-1. Who can post here the inside views of the used transducers? BTW - an offer currently available you will find about http://www.ricardo.ch/kaufen/audio-t...v/an650674836/ Last edited by tiefbassuebertr; 7th August 2011 at 10:41 AM. |

In the attachement high resolution images, better than that one from post #1.
Please let me know the manufacturer of the drivers (bass/midrange and tweeter - it must be a manufactuter similar to Tangband). Please let me additional know companies or special guys, which can carried out a restauration (resurrection) of burned voice coils and damaged domes/cones and diaphragms so as surrounds of the used transducers. |

The drivers are integrated with the front panel - they can not be seperated from it. The panel 'is' the chasis. Die Fahrer sind mit der Frontplatte integriert - sie können nicht von ihr getrennt werden. Das Panel 'ist' der chasis. |

It is not worth fixing the damaged drivers. Get modern car audio drivers - they will be much better than the old ones and should cost less than repairs.
Es lohnt sich nicht zur Festlegung der beschädigten Treiber. Holen Sie sich moderne Car-Audio-Treiber - sie werden viel besser als die alten und sollte weniger als Reparaturen kosten. |

http://www.hebermehl.de/Service/service.htm This company is even able for the restauration of burned voice coils so as damaged domes/cones and diaphragms of the used transducers and not only foam surround replaces. Perhaps in UK there is a similar company for vintage B&W speakers. Who knows more? P.S. we get a funny German translate by the use of the google language tools. When I translate back to english I read: The Car-Drivers are married with the Front Panel - they can not be separated from them Last edited by tiefbassuebertr; 7th August 2011 at 03:03 PM. |
