Driver Selection

I want to design a 2 or 2.5 way speaker. What do you feel is a better manufacturer to use:
ScanSpeak or Dynaudio?

I dont believe Dynaudio drivers are available for DIY anymore, although a few remnants may be around.

Check this out, it will give you a better idea.

I have a source to purchase Dynaudio woofers. The Esotec and MW series.

what esotec drivers can you get? the MW i would not bother with.

i saw a small decent 2.5 way system using Esotec 20cm and 15cm woofers and a D260 Esotec tweeter a few years back when parts were available.

what prices?

I would seriously consider a 2.5 way push push TL using 2 SS woofers and SS tweeter - the choices are many -
i would consider the 8531 and the 2904-70000.

if these are too expensive i would look at the vifa range XG 18cm and XT25 drivers.
