A source of cheap/decent high value inductors in europe?

Shocked at the prices

Doing a 1.5 way build so its not high power- can't afford much.

Need values between 8-10 mH..looked on ebay, zero

Any recommendations for good quality at a reasonable price?

Thanks for the links, the Monacor coils look good value and also air core inductors direct from Erse in the states (might get away without customs charge) I will keep looking and will post on here if I find anything else

btw Blue Aran - Professional Sound and Lighting sells monacor stuff and is often much cheaper than other online shops- they don't do the values I want tho

Bill, I don't know how many money you want to spend but the Ferrobar line of IT coils are the very best quality/DCR ratio I know of:
DR56/10/140 - FERROBAR coil 10.0 MH R0.371 DR 56/61 CU=1.40 AL 40 MM - Europe Audio

I have no idea if it is possible to use these as inductors - enamelled silver plated copper wire 1.2mm bobbins 10 metres for 7 quid Silver-plated Cu wire 1.2 mm - Enamelled copper wires - Conrad Electronic

also some craft bobbins like this on ebay V cheap

IMHO yes if "enamelled" means "electrically insulated" but I don't know if 10 meters are enough for such values, in any case on air core.

yes it wouldnt be long enough for a 10 mH value but I thought it might be of interest to some ..if it works.

So many reasons to go for active filtering! With copper prices going through the roof there is just one more incentive.

Probably go for the jantzen air cores - they seem good value
