Default Pioneer Lafayette HW-7 Horn Tweeter Questions

Last summer I purchased a bunch of old electronics from a local person who passed away at the estate sale. In the lot of stuff was a set of homemade 3 way speakers. The tweeters were a pair of Lafayette HW-7 horn tweeters. According to the research I have done on these is that they also go by "Pioneer HW-7" and they appear to be relatively rare. I have only seen one other set online and they are owned by a member of this forum, thetubeguy1954. The amount of information I have been able to find about them has been slim to none. I have yet to test them but I have found one issue with one of them. The ceramic phase plug(not sure of proper term) the outer cone has broke loose from the inner piece. I was hoping this could be repaired. Does any one have any advice on where to proceed from here. I have attached Tom's(thetubeguy1954) photo that he had in his profile. I will get one when I get some new batteries for my camera.

I appreciate your help and I apologize if I placed this in the wrong forum.

Cute tweeters.

JB Weld is good for repairing that kind of problem.

Remove the four screws, proceed very carefully, you will probably have to desolder the diaphragm to get access to the phase plug.
Note which way the diaphragm is oriented to make sure you put it back in the same polarity (direction).

There may be shims under the diaphragm.

After repairing the phase plug, the gap needs to be meticulously cleaned, and the diaphragm will need to be aligned again.

Easy as that !
