Default Polarity question

If a +ve DC voltage apply to a speaker (+ve to speaker + and gound to speaker -), what should the driver cone react? being pushed outward or pulled inward? Is this common for all drivers no matter it's woofers or tweeter?

If you have a jbl driver you might be surprised. Normally a DC+ will give you forward cone movement.

Use a 1.5V battery for your test. Do it for only as long as it takes to get your answer. Do this with woofers and mids only. Tweeters sometimes don't like it.

Thx for the prompt advice, since some of my drivers have no polarity mark on them which I need to figure it out.

The test remains the same.
