Default Endorphine Mod

Hi all,
this is my 1st post so I really want to thank you for the knowledge that you kindly share.

I'm a DIY newbie but a well experienced musician so I know I can trust my ears but do not know almost anything about xovers.

Anyway I decided to give a try to this Endorphine - like project with the following:

TW: Neo3 PDR
MID: Old 9" Saba from 1953
WF: Eminence Alpha 15A

This is the orig. endorphin xover: http://lampizator.eu/SPEAKERS/PROJEC...rphin%20XO.jpg

Do you think I can just follow the suggested caps/coils list or do you suggest to change something?
Considering the ribbon tweeters, do I need to protect them somehow? Suggestions appreciated!!!

- For xover at 300-400hz Beta's are MUCH better than Alphas.
- You'll need to pad down Saba midrange
- buy round or oval Saba but make sure thay're in very good condition
- 0.5mH should do just fine on Saba for 7khz xover
- I think PDR has much wider dispersion at 7khz than SABA, I'd personally go for regular version of B&Gtweeter or a ribbon. This on is very nice. Works well either with and without the horn:

thanks but the fact is that I yet have the drivers I mentioned so...
plus I don't know anything about how to cut frequencies so please
consider my deep ignorance ;-)
I'd need the exact suggested list of the xover caps/list with values, that could REALLY help!

Thank you for understanding!

You have to use resistors to pad down Saba.
When you do it you can use larger coil on bass. You can connect coils in series to find best value.

Unfortunately you won't get specific values. You have to trust your ears and experiment.

80-100uF and 0.5mh on Saba is OK.
For bass start with 5mh coil and add more coil in series until it sounds right. I would estimate that somthing around 7-8mH will work.

No. If I would be him I would prefer not to use resistors even if it would mean no bass :P
