B&C 12PE32 or 12PLB76 for below 500-600Hz?

Hi,

I want to use one of these 12'' speakers for a 49lt 3way box for 500-600hz below. Their parameters very exciting but i need an advice to choose right one.

12PE32 is a midbass and seems more dynamic due to higher Qms (7.6) with 101db sensivity. Recommended crossover freq is 85Hz. 2.5'' voice coil.

12PLB76 is a woofer has a bit lower Qms (5.2) and sensivity (99!) but can handle 60-100Hz more easy. Recommended crossover freq is 65hz and 3'' voice coil.

Is it worh to choose of PE32 with comprimising lower bass region? Has PLB76's 3'' voice coil any advantage comparing 2.5'' in terms of sound quality?

I'd go for the larger coil actually-better thermal performance typically. Even though you are crossing low, you may change that someday, and the larger coil may make for better break up. It also has a greater xmax and heavier cone-could mean stronger cone and again better break up. Q is also more easily workable.

Thank you Dan, you may right. Very exciting comments from 12PE32 users just confusing me. Another thing is, if i go to 2way with a compression driver which requires good handling mid-bass region.
