I just picked up a pair of Celestion Ditton 66. I believe they are a late model 1 with the veneered front. One speaker is putting roughly half the top end while the other sounds great. What capacitor on the crossover does the duty for the tweeter?

Thanks!

Pull out the drivers and put a multimeter across them. Or even just (low level) output from your hifi.

If you are lucky it will be an XO component.

I measured the tweeters. They are both around 4.4ohms.

Do they play music (direct connection)? If yes, time to look at the crossovers.

Looks like a recapping is in order. I might just unload these and let the next owner get them in order.

Check the L-Pad. That or a driver are more likely to fail than a cap.

I don't see an L Pad in there. That would be an adjustable resistor?

Swapped the tweeters and discovered it is faulty. The search begins.

Anyone have a Celestion HF2000 tweeter and maybe a midrange unit voice coil?
