Default Need help modifying my Mission speakers with ESS components

Hi. I just received these AMT Monitor crossovers, along with two Heils in the mail. Unfortunately, BOTH Heils got broken in half during shipment. These are the crossovers for the ESS AMT Monitors that came with the Heils. I ordered new Heils from Parts Express to replace the broken Ebay ones.

If I want to use only the HF section of this crossover, then how would I do that? The terminals in the back say driver inputs, and crossover outputs.

Or... could I just use the full range input, and use this crossover in its entirety on my Mission 765 speakers, instead of the Mission crossover? The Mission is a two way, like the AMT monitor. They use two 8 ohm woofers hooked up in series to derive a 4 ohm load, and a dome tweeter crossed over at 2300hz.

My idea was to eliminate the Mission crossover and dome tweeter, and use the Heil for the high end and the Heil crossover...

Some input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Neither will be perfect, but if you must do it this way, there is only one logical way to do it. Firstly confirm the crossover point is similar (approximately) for each speaker then use the Mission crossover to run the Mission woofers and the ESS crossovers for the Heils.

Adjust the levels and you have a working starting point. Then you can decide that it needs tweaking and consider why and how.

The Mission crossed at 2300HZ and the ESS at 800HZ.

The crossover design seems pretty elaborate for the ESS. My question is, how do I use the ESS crossover, only for the Heils? I am not sure what terminals to use.

It's probably going to be a little goofy, iirc the AMT crossover point was pretty low for the big Heil.

If I were you, I'd probably adjust the low pass on the ESS crossover for the 4 ohm Mission woofer load and stick em in there.

There's most likely going to be some sensitivity differences, but you've got an L-Pad on that ESS crossover that you can fiddle with.

I was under the impression that the ESS woofer was a 4 ohm load. If not, How would I adjust it? The adjustment knob is for the Heil..

I couldn't remember what it was, 4 6 or 8. If it is 4, then I'd try just putting that crossover in and trying it. It might sound good just like it is.

If it's not, then the value of the low pass filter parts will change, (if I remember right) dropping in value by half for each halving of impedance.

This is of course, just for a listenable crossover. You can always refine it later.

In order to give you a more helpful answer at this point, it would help if you could trace out the two schematics for us, or post some good photos (both sides if necessary) so we could do same.

I hope this is what you need... 2158 gives a good view of the entire board... I can't see for sure, but the two large green caps seem to be the same uf rating.

Thank you very much for your interest BTW.
