Hello everyone, I happened to pick up 4 of these puppies for a good price, but the seller had no info on them or manufacturer . I think I see a bucking magnet and they have a sheilding cap over the whole assembly. The (metallic)?? Dome has a geomertric pattern , I guess for strength or some other purpose. On the back of the magnet assembly it says:
58P60DH-01HD C5. WAVE Made in Japan 562TNV Weird thing is the absense of a front plate??? Any help you can give will be appreciated

I'm pretty sure they are the high frequency transducers from a JBL Pro VIII two way cabinet. There's normally a mesh screen that fits over the front of them.

The part number stamped at the back of the driver (58P60DH-01HD) is the same as the one in the picture.

Thanks for the help identifying them. They sound nice , I wonder if they would work in a waveguide, perhaps made from bent wood?
Ill see if I can find specs for them, if not i'll take some measurements. Does anyone know if the ribs on the cone are there to control diaphragm break-up?
