Default Help Needed with 2-Way

My Pyramid speakers are gone and it is time for a new project.

The goal is to try to reduce the footprint from the original speakers which had a 24" by 24" footprint.

I want to reuse the Acoustic Elegance TD15H drivers, but wanted the simplicity of a 2-way.

A horn is one way, but I have become interested in the Beyma TPL150 AES driver.

I want high SPL because the amp is a tube amp that drives it.

According to John (from AE) a good place to start the crossover is about 1.2kHz and the Beyma should just do that.

This is the basic concept (see renderings). The top is angled back 8° to point the Beyma at the listening position. Other than that, I have made the cabinet as narrow as I can so that I get about 5 cubic feet internal volume after the ports, speakers, and internal braces are subtracted.

The cabinet is two layers of 3/4" baltic birch with Green Glue between the layers to make constrained layer panels.

The 17" wide face yields a 238 Hz baffle step that needs to be accounted for.

I would be interested in your thoughts on the idea before I get too far with the detailed design stage.

Thanks in advance.
