Default Paper woofers

Why does everybody love paper woofers and i dont like them , bass seems out of focus ?

Paper remains one of best materials as it is basically inert and unable to add colouration. Perhaps it sounds 'dead' to you?

Maybe it's not the paper. Bass takes a lot to get right and rooms have a lot to do with it.

IMO:
rooms are #1 to do with it
then speaker setup
then crossovers

then at #4, driver midwoofer materials

I can see it being out of focus if you are comparing a long throw paper subwoofer type driver with a composite coned PA driver.

i dont know if it´s the midbass extension from 150 to 250hz +- , but whenever i listen to them always get that felling that something´s wrong

i dislike paper cones for bass.
