Hey everybody, I have a bit of a dilemma here. I recently purchased a pair of Cerwin Vega D-7's on craigslist. The original 122w2 woofers have been replaced with goldwood 1248 woofers, which I knew going into the purchase, not thinking it was that big of a deal. However, when I tested them when I got back home, it would seem that while the woofers do indeed work, they are pretty quite when compared to the midrange and tweeters. They are also quieter than my Cerwin Vega DX3's, which definitely shouldnt happen. They are both 8 ohm impedence, so that isnt the problem. Anyone wanna help me out?

What sort of help are you looking for? Sounds like the Goldwoods are less sensitive so you will need to EQ some bass in there if you want to keep the woofers or add padding to the mids and highs. Remeber. Cerwin Vega's were all about volume not quality so you may have to get CV woofers.
