Best inductor and Capacitor for crossover

Can any one suggest best inductor and capacitor for cross over?
This will be for Speaker DIY

The best inductor is made from highly conductive material ,turned round and round to suit the perfect value for the project .
Also , the perfect capacitor has very smooth and pure metal foils ,with plastic dielectric in between.

yup... film caps, and low Rdc coils. (air core, okay?)

Just look around the internet stores ,Intertechnic (DE) for inductors or Solen (FR,CA )for capacitors offer some basic but excellent products .Then ...if you want to go with exotics,there are many others (also from the same brands ,there are different 'steps')

..also depends on the cap values- the Mundorf silvers are great but if you are on a budget try the Erse Pulse X. Erse do decent Inductors too.

Air core coils and FT caps is what the doctor prescribed.

Boy I wish there were just one best cap and coil for crossovers!! Sure would save a lot of grief on mine and a host of other DIY'rs!

If it's the 'best' cap and coil BRAND you're looking for? fa-get-a-bot-it!
