What's your preference: active, passive or DSP?
I have some PCBs designed that have two 2-way (LP+HP times two) 2nd order active crossovers with adjustable corner frequency, Q, and input gain. You could use these in a 2- or 3- way crossover system that is reconfigurable. Adjustments are made via multi-turn cermet potentiometers, or you can use off-board panel-mount potentiometers if you would prefer. I have had a couple of inquiries about the boards, so I may send the design out for a production run. I tested a prototype of the board and it was great. I added a few extra connections so that a notch filter can also be created. I posted about the board previously, but have made some additions since then, so I should probably start a new thread about it. -Charlie |

due to no high pass series cap on midrange its not suited for exstreme SPL
well, unless you use very tough pro midbass with normal hifi midbass it works really well at moderate SPL looks simple, but tricky to adjust properly very sensitive to 'timing' even very small adjustments can make it like 'night or day' |

values are different but with different drivers they will be anyway adjusted a resistor it worked, and it didn't, fully changed a few other resistors to make it work and it works again, for now just a small change to a single component and other components will need change as well thats how it is with this xo but there's a trap even if it sounds great, phase may be wrong your ears get annoyed or you are constantly moving your head you will feel it in your ears when its right its difficult, takes time and practice and 3ways may never be perfect I expect my speaker/xo will still need more work |

just a short note
I changed reversed polarity on mid to reversed pol on tweeter maybe it works better because xo is more like kind of a 2.5way far from finished yet but its doing something right jingles are dissected in a funny way such that you can hear each element used to compose it but in coherent and musical way definately a musical monitor and that was my goal |
