Default Any idea what Humble HiFi has in store for us?

Stopped by Humble HiFi recently and got this message
Quote:
...a new range of loudspeaker designs will appear over time as they are developed according to my latest views on loudspeaker design
Any idea what type of "new design" we'll see from Tony Gee? Personally I can't wait. Always on the look out for any new design to try out.

Maybe we can get a few clues from Troels' latest update

...One that for sure will emerge some day is an Ekta mkII featuring HIQUPHON OW4 tweeters, stepped and sloped baffles, simplified crossover and solid cabs ...The all too common rectangular box is in many ways a bottleneck in making good sound from even seriously expensive drivers, where ensuring proper radiation area and proper time-alignment can make good sound from even low-cost drivers.
So my guess is some type of time-aligned, first order filter? This is too good to be true. I always found the Thiel CS2.4 one of the best image speakers I've heard but just too bright for my taste besides I prefer to build one for myself.

This might give you a nice view of what's cooking. (In Dutch, but with nice pictures)

I hope I can have a listen on May 28.

Hopefully Tony G. will have a 3-way on the way. Just have too many 2-way in my garage at the moment.

There's only so much you can do with a two way as well. Things get interesting when a third driver is added.
