I'm trying to build a simple jig to measure some drivers. I read about it here. AudioBlog: A simple loudspeaker measurement jig for ARTA
I have a Sound Blaster card in my PC with 1 line in, and multiple line out jacks. This seems to be the way most sound cards are implemented. I'm assuming that I'm supposed to hook up my single Line In connector to this jig. But I have no idea how. Can some one straighten me out? |

I just realized that the Line In cable has 3 wires. One for ground, and one each for left and right. Ground is common, Left goes to one of the circuits, and Right goes to the other. Is that correct?

That is correct, and use the left output from the green socket when otherwise not specified. One of the inputs measures the speaker and the other measures the signal driving it and the difference is recorded. This works around imperfections in the amp.
