I simulated TD12M in both WinISD and Hornresp and they don't tell the same story. I tend to trust Hornresp more; this one says a 80 liters (~2.8 cubic feet) box tuned to ~41Hz should do the trick. WinISD shows me a ~4dB shelf response in the bass, with 40Hz being 6dB down, for the same Vb and tuning. I know this is a low-Qts driver, but I'm hoping this driver can somehow make it down strong to 40Hz.
Can anyone confirm my modeling for this driver? Or maybe it's something the two softwares do differently that I'm unaware of? TD12M_vented_hornresp.jpg TD12M_vented_WinISD.jpg Thanks! IG |
