Default Someone please help

I heard a set of infinity's about 20 years ago they had a fifteen inch woofer and thats about what I remember of them maybe a crossover adjustment on the front if I remember right they had a live type of soft, beautiful sound to them, made ya feel like you were on a beach listening to a live band lol. Anyone know what they are, I know they are old but I have never heard that from any speaker since, and I know it's the crossover anyway let me know please.

Aren't memories wonderful? They erase the bad and leave you with the good.

Yes! The longer we live, the better we were!

Just a serious moment, then back to normal.

Infinity made a lot of different speakers over the years, some were just excellent, even by today's standards and there were a fair number of designs that are best forgotten. Which you heard, I don't know, but you'll need a lot better description than just a (maybe) 15 inch woofer and some pots.

Do a search on Google for Infinity Loudspeakers, and go from there.

Best Regards,
TerryO

Just from the vague description (understandable due to the time passed) it sounds like the SM150. I don't recall any other Infinity speakers with that big of a woofer. The SM series isn't Infinity's best, but for the price they weren't too shabby. My brother had a pair of SM120's around that time.

Peace,

Dave

P.S. I am not including the early Infinity stuff. I do recall that the Servo-Statik had an 18" sub, but that is a different beast!

I still have vintage amp and speaker. Listening to them, I think about my father using pampers... They sound different with today's tube amp and speaker. I think they sound ummm... different than my Goldmund clone
