Default 4 ohm or 8 ohm sound?

Hi all,new here and wondered what your thoughts are regarding ohms vs sound?
I have a pair of Klipsch kg4's that are rated 6 ohms but my amp ..............( yaqin mc-10L) only has 4 or 8 ohms.
What would be best for these speakers and would the sound change?
thanks..gzman71

No speaker has a flat impedance from 20Hz to 20kHz. So that 6 Ohm is only a "conventional" way to specify it's impedance (it is not minimum impedance either). It will be above 10 Ohm at 20KHz, and could possibly be close to 4 Ohm at around 100 Hz.

Going up and down a little bit with the amp (4/8 Ohm) will not create serious problem.

In general, using 8 Ohm, you will have longer life tubes, worse quality sound, but all is only marginally.

Theoretically, depends on many things, a 4 Ohm tap could give you a better or worse sound, but most of the time better, in bass quality. Whether you can hear it or not, that's the question. I doubt you can. I'll prefer using 4 Ohm.
