Default Building my first set of speakers. And I'm using Pine :O

I am new here and hope to be posting projects as they come to me. this first project started with a set of 12" B&W's I found on Craigslist. The tweeters and midranges were tweeked and boxes were junk. But the woofers in good shape. We pulled a knotty pine plank floor in my moms house and I thought to myself, I like the way the knots look. I know that pine is among the worst in speaker building. So I figured, Left and right side.

I hate MDF's being accoustically dead material. When you listen to Rush live, There cabinets for the PA, guitars, bass, thats all birch ply. My thoughts, you can't reproduce Red Barchetta acuratly with MDF. So the 3/4" pine planks are cut down to size and will be used for the left and right side panels. The front and rear baffles will be Baltic Birch Ply as well as the top and bottom. I think this will sound great and for my first project can't wait to see how it comes out.

I have been putting this together on a budget. So not all pieces were new. In fact the only new drivers are the HiVi TN25 soft dome tweeter along with a Radio Shack SoftDome Midrange. I know it's an odd driver, but sounds like a million bucks crossed over right. And the B&W 12" woofer. I purchased a speaker cone repair kit to re-glue the dust caps and will be in the market for 1 new RS midrange if anyone has one cheap. The second has a warn faceplate. Tweeters were purchased new along with 3 way crossovers from Pars Express. I will be posting pics as the build comes together. The Boxes are traditional and only mimic the old sealed enclosures but will look great when finished.
