I am planning a three way speaker with RAAL dipole 140-15D above +-2k5 and AE TD15 below +-300hz. I think the TD6M looks like a interesting mid range driver for this speaker, but I am not sure since I cannot find any recommendations/experiences on the web for this driver.
Does anyone here have experience with the TD6M driver? One other possibility is to use one or two acoustic elegance Dipole6 as midrange. |

I can't say anything about this speaker, but i can say that Nick & John know what they are doing when it comes to designing & making drivers.

Yest, that is my experience also. I think John does a fantastic job! I already have the TD12X in a two way, but are going to build a even bigger and (hopefully) better speaker. But I think I have not found anyone yet that have actually used this drivers by them self.

I'm hoping someone uses them before new NY as I have another design I'd like to try them. I'll buy them on faith though as I like the 15X and 10M I already have.

See my info here:
HTGuide Forum - Lambda TD6 tests on the way and here: Acoustic Elegance • View topic - TD6 measurements They sound pretty good...well better than good, but I only kept them long enough to test, get an idea and then send back to the owner. I also like the 18 Sound 6ND430 for that style midwoofer. Doesn't have the dip in response. Not quite a clean sounding, but close. Greg |

Thanks for the links.
Did you ever find out what was causing the dip in your measurements ? |

Sveinung, I saw your post on the AE forum as well. I would not personally use the TD for a dipole design. Look at my picts...the magnet obscures the majority of the read of the driver. I ended up with the BG Neo10 and am beyond happy with their performance. See info here:
