Default Building BD Design Quasar Mk II Speakers

Hi everyone

I am building a pair of the BD design Quasar MKII speakers. I changed the bass driver to Eminence Alpha 15 and remain the Fostex FE206E. Would anyone please tell me what is the original crossover frequency of this design as I can not find the information on the BD Design forum.

Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciately.

(It's yours an active speaker/design, xover?) Is it critical? I'm not very much into this design type. Some relations in design might interest you and others with other similar speakers.

250 Hz. But I can't tell you anything about the filter topology.

Hi Harvey & Rudolf

Thank you for your inputs. Finally, I finished building of the DB Design OB. I am currently using one driver, the Fostex FE306En only but the sound is amazing. I am prepared to build the crossover lately. I will keep posted.

That is an excellent design! When you get the woofers connected and at the crossover point you like you will be amazed at the rich, full bass. Enjoy them! They came out great!

Hi Zilla

Yes, they are great speakers. I will keep posted as soon as I connect the crossover to the woofers.

Thanks

I'm really interested in this design. Where did you get the plans? What drivers are you using? How much power are you using to drive the speakers?
