Default speaker dead

What does it mean if u can touch/poke the cone on dead mid/bass driver and it temporarily comes back to life albeit distorted?
I hope someone will tell me its probably a solder joint!

Could be a soldered joint on the connector.

Otehr than that could be a broken voice coil that makes contact if the cone is moved in which case the speaker needs a recone.

Yes!....Get your Iron up to temp, just a brief touch with the Iron, if your Iron is clean, (Properly tinned) it should just re-solder the broken joint. If it "sticks" to either the braided wire or the terminal assy, then your going to need 'more' solder. Either way you found the bad connection.
