My Hi-Vi rt2 tweeter blew up without making a sound, while using the zappulse 2.2 amp. Can this be caused by some kind of feed back generating high frequencies > 20 khz ?

My speakers have been working fine since 2008 with the same set up. I have a high pass filter as specified for the rt2s from hivi .I believe the input wire on the zappulse was too close to the choke or to the mains wire generating some in-audible hi frequency loop that i could not hear. This happened after the music it was playing came to a stop.
