Default Speakers to compliment my sound card

Alright, I've had these for quite a few years now: X-530

Clearly I'm in need of an upgrade. This past Christmas I got this: Newegg.com - HT | OMEGA CLARO Plus+ 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Clearly they are in two completely different leagues.

I have a budget of $100-200, and I want some great sounding speakers that will compliment this awesome soundcard. I'm thinking some desktop speakers, I was looking into this company but I dont know if they're quite what I'm looking for: KRK Systems - Monitors, subwoofers, speakers, monitoring applications, room correction technology

All suggestions would be much appreciated.

Budget is very restricted . I would opt ,for starting , to focus on the main channels . If you choose to have active speakers ,each will need a mains plug .
I would start to build an LM 3875/3886 stereo kit with a generous power transformer , so it will be capable of supplying more amplifier modules .
First 100 $ gone
The speakers could be made with a single fullrange ,such a Tang Band 4" with bamboo fiber cone .
Budget finished !
You'll then become addicted to the sound and you will want more and more : just build more amplifiers and cabinets .

Hey thanks for your suggestion, sadly I'm probably the least qualified to be building speakers/amps.

I actually did hear a pair of these at a friends house the other day and didnt think they were half bad. Coupled with my sound card, should be a promising fit. Has anybody used these or know anything about them?
