Just wanting some advise about the best way to make a waveguide for a rectangle tweeter, the B&G Neo3 for example.
Is it best to maintain a rectangle waveguide shape, or is it better to have a rectangle throat smoothly transitioning to a circular shape for the mouth? |

For more output use (4) of them in a line array (series-parallel connected). For pattern control use an acoustic lens (slant plate) in front of them. ._ . _. |_\/_| . . . . /////// _==_ . . . . _==_ Regards, WHG Last edited by whgeiger; 10th March 2011 at 12:20 AM. |

Hey Simon,
The Fountek neocd3.5 with wave guide seems to favour a rectangular flare. Much easier to construct for sure so maybe it was a production decision. The measurements certainly look good in terms of power response. Also similar in design to the Phil Jones 2-way monitor linked a couple of posts above. https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...oducts_id=8818 Last edited by ShinOBIWAN; 10th March 2011 at 02:32 PM. |

Hi, As some make efforts to go from a circular driver to a rectangular horn, one would assume in this case its pragmatic to stick with rectangular. rgds, sreten.
