Is there a set rule on how to wire the phase of a tweeter mounted on the rear of the enclosure? The driver is a pure ribbon crossed with a single 2.2 uf capacitor.

I assume that the way from the rear tweeter around the side wall to the front edge of the box is more than 10". Then it (almost) doesn't matter whether you connect it in-phase or out-of-phase to the front tweeter. Try both cases and decide which sounds better to you - if you hear a substantial difference.

Yes and thank you. That is what I needed to know.

I think the idea would vary from system to system. If you've got a monopole connect it so that the rear wave added in by the tweeter would be in phase with the signal from the front. And if you've got a dipole connect it so that the signal would be out of phase with the signal on the front.
Of course in a situation like this, any talk about phase, when small wavelengths and large path differences and boundary effects are involved is almost pointless to the point where what Rudolf suggested is most likely the best thing to do!
