I have a pair of 104ab which cabinets are bad, foam grills are gone and tweeters have been replaced with tweeters made by Dayton. The mid-ranges and the passive reflectors are still very good. I am considering to make a center channel with the mid-ranges and the Dayton tweeters. I think the vocals should match my 104.2 nicely, which are in very good condition. Need suggestions on design of the cabinet and crossover. Thanks KEFFAN

You'd pnly want to use one of the 104s to make a centre channel. You'd build a box of the same volume (tweeter above or below midbass) and then place the passive wherever convienient, my 1st thot was the back.
Seems a waste thou. B110s would be a better match (wanna trade?) dave

Hmmm ......
The aB crossovers specifically match selected T27 tweeters ..... You can lose the PR's by using the bass/mids in ~ half volume per driver .... But I don't like the idea at all .... My advice would be a proper centre design .... Move on the KEF stuff, fairly sought after on Ebay. rgds, sreten. http://sites.google.com/site/undefinition/diy (see FAQs) http://www.zaphaudio.com http://www.rjbaudio.com/Audiofiles/FRDtools.html http://www.rjbaudio.com/ http://speakerdesignworks.com/ http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthread.php4?t=28655

The B110 i have are the newer SP1057 (called B110B). They would be of a similar time-frame to the B110s in your 104/2.
I have the spec here. A vertical MTM could be fit in the same space as 1 B200 + tweeter dave
