Default dayton rs150 2 way

I'm looking to make 5 small 2 ways in an TM design for use in a 5.1 HT setup. I have a bunch of dayton reference rs150 8 ohm speakers that I bought for a different project several years back and never used. I would like to make these work if possible. I have been out of the DIY audio scene for a while now. I would rather use an existing completed design but don't mind doing some tweaking to suit my needs if there is a project that is close to what I want. I have searched around and haven't been able to locate anything close using these drivers.

I really only need these to extend to 80 hz as thats where they will be crossed to the subwoofer, so size will be a priority over low end extension. Basically I would like input from anyone that has done testing with these drivers in a TM application and recommendations for a suitable tweeter. TIA.

thank you for the input bob. I already built those actually and think they are fantastic. I will be moving them to my basement theater and am looking for something smaller to use for a book shelf style 5.1 system for my family room. What do you think about the MT I posted?

That's the first thread I linked to. I've got RS150 paired with a 27TDFC in my bedroom in 1/2 cubic foot ported. Plays reasonably low for a small driver at bedroom levels. Good sound but's an active XO system, so not terribly practical for your 5.1 project.

IIRC, sealed gets you an F3 of around 95 Hz, you can go with smaller enclosures. A small format tweeter like Zaph uses in the ZA5.2 would probably work well, too.

Lou has a good one, and i've got one too. his is probably a bit more refined and has had more folks build them, but mine's cheaper if that's an issue. madisound had a sinar baja tweeter on sale for $6 that i think is probably as good, but would require some tweaks.
