something strange, as I usually do...
2.5way, ported 2way and sealed sub in the same enclosure. every drivers to be 15 cm mid/woofer and 10 cm tweeter. audio use only,I hate HT speakers. c'mon folks, cant believe you have nothing to share

If I dont get enough bass Ill do that, For the moment I wasnt even sure to port the 2way... Ill test and if I reallly want more bass Ill do that. As I have a big stereo sub for the moment I dont need deep bass.
Navin, havent you built any speaker that you could show here, after all its the goal of this thread. |

I don't see why you would port the 2 way? You could get the same response with a completely sealed box.
Or am I wrong? |

a sealed box lower the cuttof frequency. I use 15 cm driver so I want to get the maximum from them. the problem is that the boxes are already built so...

But you are using the 15cm in the ported box as a midrange aren't you? I'm not saying it's not going to sound bad. It just looks like a strange concept. |

lets say a mid/woof, i know a mid sounds better in a sealed box but I have plenty of time to chose what I want, for the moment all I want is to finish the boxes.

I've just got my baby's parts in, Seas 6.5" mid-woof and Seas 1" tweet, 8" Illusions from the Luccent series. Will post pics, but they're not going to be finished until sometime next week. Real wood front baffles, and will be using some veneer left over from previous projects.
