P-13 modifications

I've been talking to Rabbitz about the P-13 in regards to my latest speaker build.
he mentioned in passing that some of the distortion I think I am hearing may be related to the very soft dustcap on the Vifa P-13 I have.
The Vifa M-11-MH has a totally different style of dustcap, being hard and covered with little knobbly bits for want of a better term.
Any body out there have an alternative dustcap i can glue over the top as an experiment??

paulspencer did some work on the P17 by removing the dustcap. You may want to contact him.

Anyone have a Vifa 3-way hifi kit? [Archive] - Stereo Net Australia

You could get a couple of dustcaps from Speakerbits as they are not expensive.
