I think they should have called the product lines Peerless and Really Peerless. or Very Peerless. Extra Peerless. Peerless For Serious. More Peerless than Peerless. Peerless+1. So many better naming conventions!

..and bring the old Peerless logo back, the new one is lame.

I am glad the Scan-Speak broke up with Tymphany. They are better off alone.

Yes, the Scans-Speak path is more clear, but you never know with typhany.

Does anybody used Vifa NE in his projects? I like the low inductance and its extended FR range.
I am planning to use Vifa NE149W https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...oducts_id=8701 in Open baffle with NEO3 PDRW crossing very high, allowing vifa to play full range. I like the idea to use low inductance drivers, and using first order crossovers to get best trasients i could, like electrostats.
Maybe somebody used this ideology?

Actualy now I am interestd in Tang Band W5-1880 too.

Can I trust its datasheet about inductance? Zaphaudio tested different Tangband driver TS parameters, and they are very different than datasheets

Did you ever get this project started?

I too have been considering Vifa's NE 149 and B&G Neo 3 for a 3 way (mated to a Vifa NE 265 woofer).

Funny you asked, becouse just ordered Vifas.

It will be my first serious diy speaker project, so it would be great to copy from somebody, but somehow I could not find that interesting. And then I couldnt resist this Vifa wich nobody are using yet...

Anyway I am in the process of buying everything, was waiting painfully becouse of money.
I will still go for B&G Neo 3 and Fane Sovereign 15-250. Will drive them tri-amp , with hifimediy T2 amps, so I can get level maching and implement the bass better
I am exited to use line level crossover, wich should be very easy to do by changing input cap, just calculate the corner frequency and you have 6 db slope.
It should be great minimalistic design.

Vifa Ne 265 maby later, not sure if it would be better than Fane in Open Baffle, its so much cheaper to experiment.

Did you ever made dipoles?

Well my need is a passive crossover becuase the amp I intend to use is the front channels of a simple HT/AV reciever.

Do post how your project goes.
