Parts Express carries a kit by the name Dayton UA701 designed by Joe D'Appolito.

Parts Express DIY Project UA701 .

The drivers and the designers both have a name for themselves in the world of speaker building and the price including finished cabinets is reasonable too. Yet I can't seem to find many users or reviews or discussions of this kit. and I wonder why ? One would imagine there would be a fair amount of following for a kit like this. So -

Has anyone built or heard this kit ?
Any cons of this project that I might be missing ?

Did you check the parts-express tech-talk forum? I found three threads with refernce to "UA701".

really ? are you serious ? 3 threads ?
yes I did check the PE board and did see those threads too. there is really nothing worthwhile in those threads that answers my queries.
