I designed a notch filter to remove a resonance peak for a driver. The inductor required is quite big, 18.5mH, and since I have access to a lot of 18ga magnet wire very cheaply I thought I'd make them myself. The resulting inductor will probably have quite a bit of DCR. I want to verify that this DCR is added in series to the electrical model for simulations purpose and could therefore be offset by reducing the actual series resistor by the same ammount. Thanks.

Yes, the DCR is added in series with the inductor.
