This is not what you want to hear but if you are desperate, I think I saw a big, early Wharfedale 12" on eBay a couple of weeks ago (Syd' I think) and I am pretty sure I saw the RA's on a vintage site in the UK! SORRY! They would have been in that funny semi-TLS they made.
But I am sympathetic. I always thought the RA's would be fun to use but the last time I saw one was in Radio Parts North Melbourne in about 1979 and they were $45 a throw. I have HF1300's and STC 4001's and thought they would make a good B&W DM2A clone or similar......... And if you can get THREE of the HP8B's Ill buy the other 2 from you....... Good luck

RA HP8B wanted are they the bextrene coned jobbies?I have a pair in the UK which is not much use to you perhaps, being so old the surrounds tend to seperate from the cones as they have with mine.

Hi cone head. This is getting even FURTHER away from Melb' but there appears to be at least one (may be more) "oldish" 12" Warfedale on the vintage speaker section of the US eBay at the moment.

Any advice welcome, Rich. |

Hi Conehead, you still after a pair of Richard Allan HP8B's?
Yesterday I noticed a pair on ebay and actually in Melbourne. The auction runs out next Sunday (the 26th Feb 2012) afternoon. They are in the Electronics catergory then go to "Speakers and subwoofers". Cheers, Jonathan
