Default Paranoid about crossovers !!

Long story cut short, but as I can't find some new speakers to buy I've been looking to build again..... Years ago I built the Dynaudio Gemini, heavy modded the internals, used GDR xover, later went active..... They are simply superb and hard to beat.

So I want another pair of speakers for another room/system......

Would possible like to use a ribbon tweeter, or a top end dome, but open to advice, and the mid bass units I favour from loads of reading is the SEAS W15CY001 or the Scanspeak 15W8530.... Would like to keep to a MTM layout, because it worked before !!.....

As I can't find a crossover to copy that matched the above.... and the thought of trying do my own puts me off. As a generic 4th or the like isn't going to do justice to drivers.

How can I get tailor made crossover designed for choice of drivers and baffle layout/size ....

Fear of bodged xovers is putting me off sadly.

Hi,

If you can spare the extra amplifier, you can use a program called Foobar2000 to actively cross your speakers over. You'll need a multi-channel sound card (can be external), but using software allows you to change your crossover very quickly. When you've got something you like, it'd be easy enough to then get the components together to do it either passively after a single amplifier, or at line level, allowing the use of other sources.
