I'm after a fairly quick build and a smooth sound, so was wondering if there were any really good 5" to 7" mid-bass units that would give reasonably good bass extension in a 2-way infinite baffle enclosure. I don't mind the size - can build 50 litres with no problem if that helps. I'd use a floorstanding cabinet up to 4 ft high and slim as possible - depth is flexible. I don't play loud and listen to a lot of classical music. Room is 14' x 11' by 9' high. Speakers would be close to wall.
Very grateful for suggestions!! Andy |

Just wanted to add a question - what's better in infinite baffle, a wide front baffle or a narrow one? What difference does a wider baffle make to frequency response and general sound?
