Default Infinity SM 225 speaker repair?

Hi there!
I recently found a beautiful pair of speakers in the bin- Infinity SM 225- and I love them. But one of the 12" woofers is broken and need to be changed. I then contacted the official dealer, but due to water dammage in their european storage room they could not get me another one.

Does anyone know which other 12" bass element I can use instead? I guess I have to change both of them, hence I like it cheap.
Thanks- Kh K

Hi,

Jesus that is just plain lazy. Pretend you actually bought them new and
expected a better level of service support than this from Infinity. Complain
to the American head offices if you have to, what a pathetic excuse.

All other options are far worse - to do this well you need the full driver
specifications from Infinity to have a hope of getting anywhere close.

/Sreten.

If you can still buy them then you can still get the parts.

Default Sm225

There are new Infinity SM225 woofers still available. They are a bit pricey at $240.00 each. You can use another brand replacement speaker, but they almost always require that you enlarge the mounting hole. The Infinity speaker baskets are smaller by design than most other brand replacements. It is not the outside diameter of the frame, it is the angle of the basket itself. We have many replacement options or we can order the original for you if you prefer.
