Default New Scan Speak midrange driver

I noticed this new SS midrange driver the other day:

Seems quite rare to find a proper midrange driver now, although this doesn't offer great sensitivity (4ohm unit) it does appear to have quite a flat and extended response. Not too expensive for a driver by this brand.

It's 4 ohm, which seems odd, but many SS twweters are too so it shouldn't be hard to match one to it. It features shorting rings which are certainly a good idea on a midrange unit. F3 in a 2L sealed box I modelled at 176Hz, so expect to crossover around here. At high SPL the quite minimal Xmax could be exceeded.

Just posting this in case anyone is intersted and hopefully some user measurements can be added (or linked) here

I hadn't noticed that one. It looks interesting. It will be nice to see measurements of the thing someday. It's also a bit unusual to see scan adding a phase plug to a driver, usually they don't.

Interesting & reasonable $$! 4 ohms is ideal here. I'm sa[l]vaging a pr of Meridian M20s and need two 4 ohm 5 1/4" drivers.

I'd like to hear opinions on how they sound in a NFM configuration.
