Default Narrow Open Baffle

For open baffle people: I am wondering about building a 6 inch wide x 21" high MTM with 6 inch side wings set at 45 degrees to the 6" baffle. The wings would be same height as the baffle. Midrange drivers will be Seas 11FGX (x2) with a Dynaudio Esotec D260 tweeter. That unit will sit on top of a woofer unit (10") that will be semi open baffle driven by a plate amp (x-over - 150-180). The MTM will be equalized by an octave equalizer (?). All of this because I am missing the open sound of my beloved Acoustats which went on vacation (ie: pooped out). What do you OB fans think of my wild scheme. GH

Actually that is the correct approach for an OB type speaker. I would also recommend a rear firing tweeter (reverse phase ) since you are using Esotec D260 tweeters , you can use something a bit more economical for the rear...
